Mandy Boesche grew up in La Canada and graduated from Stanford University with a Bachelor of Arts in Theater. She directed musicals throughout the bay area for seven years. In particular, with Triad Productions in Palo Alto, she directed Man of La Mancha, South Pacific, and Brigadoon.
Upon returning to Los Angeles, she directed and choreographed Damn Yankees and The Pirates of Penzance for Occidental College’s Summer Theater program. Currently Mandy is the middle and high school drama teacher at The Waverly School. Before teaching at Waverly she worked at both Westridge School and Ribet Academy.
From Shakespeare to Broadway, Mandy has directed many shows, but Madama Butterfly is her first opera! She is thrilled to work with this wonderfully talented cast that happens to include her daughter, Kelsey Boesche, whom she has not directed in a production since she was in middle school!
